Only two days after Activision announced Call Of Duty Deluxe Edition, the company returns with news about Call of Duty 2.

Although a clear date has not been specified, the announcement made by Activision and Infinity Ward point out autumn as the release date.

The main novelty announced by Activision is a new proprietary engine, which will allow a more real experience of the battles and action.

The story from Call of Duty 2 will focus our attention on four different soldiers, each of them fighting in different campaigns. The players will watch the story of every character and will get involved in historical battles.

Besides the changes brought to the AI, Infinity Ward promises bigger levels, the possibility of solving the missions in several ways and an improved collaboration with your team members due to the Battle Chatter System. In this way, the interaction between player and team members will not be limited to commands, tactical and strategic scenarios being required for the completion of missions.

For a greater level of reality and authenticity, Infinity Ward has introduced weather effects that influence the player's actions.

More news are expected at E3 2005.
