Since the 2003 release of the first installment in the Call of Duty series, Activision has come a long way. Some expansion packs followed and also, the second was released two years later in 2005.

The third installment in the series is set to be launched this year on November 7. But Activision
has decided to surprise all Call of Duty fans and announced that it will also release a PSP version. The PlayStation portable version will be called Call of Duty: Roads to Victory and will be released sometime in the spring of 2007.

Call of Duty: Roads to Victory is said to have a new set of challenges, not present on any other platform. These new challenges include features like mounted machine gun battles, aircraft attacks and sniper encounters. PSP gamers will face battles through the perspective of three different soldiers of the Allied forces. Only 13 battles will be present in the game but Activision promises to implement more enemies in order for the game to become more challenging.

Maybe you'll be reluctant to get this game for your PSP, but know that Call of Duty: Roads to Victory will provide four control schemes to choose from. As regarding the multiplayer mode, you will be able to hook-up up to 6 PSP at a time and shoot as much as you want in modes like Capture the Flag, Deathmatch and King of the Hill.
