The traffic sign is installed near a preschool area

A street sign placed outside of a school in California features one big spelling error. I am struggling to understand how nobody caught on to the mistake before it was displayed.

"Please slow drively" it reads.

According to Fox 40, it was positioned near a preschool in Auburn and it is meant to have motorists slow down by alerting them about entering a school zone. The rather unusual typo gives the impression of this being a practical joke.

The traffic sign has residents amazed, and some claim that it could lead to them getting confused while driving by it. Some suggest that perhaps it was designed and installed by the preschoolers themselves.

Do you think that the marking is meant as a joke or an experiment? Leave your opinion in the comments section.
