The hackers claim to have stolen user data and raided bank accounts

A few days ago, hackers of TeamBerserk published a video that allegedly showed how they leveraged an SQL Injection vulnerability to gain access to the systems of Sebastian, a California-based Internet service provider.

The video shows that they had taken customer usernames and passwords which they subsequently used to access Gmail and PayPal accounts. The attackers claim to have raided the users’ bank accounts from which they’ve stolen a total of $100,000 (€75,000).

While the video looks credible, Sebastian representatives have told SC Magazine that they haven’t been able to find any evidence of an attack.

Sebastian wouldn’t be the first telecoms company whose systems are breached by TeamBerserk. However, videos are fairly easy to fabricate and hacker groups often rely on fakes to boost their reputation.

Update. Team Berserk members have demonstrated that they've managed to upload a shell to Sebastian's tech support website. I've reached out to the company to see if they still haven't found any evidence of a hack.

Update 2. The hackers have published customer information stolen from Sebastian Corp's systems.
