At least around a dozen students of the Corona del Mar High School in Newport Beach, California, are suspected of hacking into the school’s computer systems in an effort to change grades and gain access to tests.

According to ABC, it’s believed the students were helped by a private tutor who showed them how to use a keylogger. The hacking device, which is attached to a computer via the keyboard coard, was used to obtain access credentials.

Both the students and the tutor, who has been identified by police as 28-year-old Timothy Lance Lai, could face criminal charges.

Lai is wanted for questioning. Police urge those who have knowledge of his whereabouts to contact Detective David Syvock at 949-644-3771 or Detective Sergeant Doug Jones at 949-644-3775.
