The car is sold cheaper than suggested by manufacturers

Supposedly in order to encourage people to get over their reticence and invest in an electric vehicle, two cars dealers in Southern California decided that no harm will come out of lowering Nissan Leaf's price by as much as $5,000 (approximately €4,000).

Thus, in some places at least, the EV now sells cheaper than its manufacturers originally intended.

More precisely, we are talking about North Bay Nissan in the San Francisco Bay Area and Fontana Nissan in Southern California.

Moreover, as far as leasing contracts go, dealers decided to substantially cut down on the initial downpayment (by as much as $1,000 / €815), and monthly installments were also lowered (they now revolve around $290 / €240).

Hopefully, this will determine more people to opt for an EV when considering to purchase a new car, as the idea now is both environmentally- and financially-friendly.
