Calibre is one of the best eBook management software available right now, but its strength lies in the abundance of plugins available for it.

This week we’ll take a look at a very interesting plugin called “Quality Check”. According to the developer, this plugin is intended to help users identify covers or book metadata that may need editing in your library, which the normal Calibre search criteria cannot identify, or is more conveniently accessible.

The “Quality Check” plugin also provides numerous ePub quality checks to help users identify ePubs that may warrant further attention to remove cruft files, reconvert, and so on.

It can be easily installed from the preferences menu or from the official forum, and it needs version 0.8.35 or higher of Calibre. A comprehensive tutorial about its usage can be found on the official forum.
