Calibre is one of the best eBook management software available right now, but its strength lies in the abundance of plugins available for it.
This week we’ll take a look at an interesting extension called "Count Pages". According to the developer, this plugin will determine the number of pages and/or words in a book and store the result in custom column(s).
Moreover, with the Count Pages plugin Kindle users can generate APNX files using the value from a page's custom column, which means that when sending a book from Calibre, it will indicate a similar value, like the book loaded from Amazon.
It can be easily installed from the Preferences menu or from the official forum
, and it needs version 0.8.57 or higher of Calibre. A comprehensive tutorial about its usage can also be found on the above forums.
