Calibre is one of the best eBook management softwares available right now, but its strength lies in the abundance of plugins available for it.

This week we’ll take a look at an interesting extension called " APNX Generator." According to the developer, with this plugin users can create Amazon APNX page mapping files from within Calibre, without having to send them to a Kindle.

The plugin can create APNX from selected books in the Calibre library, but it can also work with files outside the library.

It can be easily installed from the Preferences menu or from the official forum, and it needs version 0.7.53 or higher of Calibre. A comprehensive tutorial about its usage can also be found on the above forums.

You can also check out our review of Calibre.

Download Calibre 0.9.1 right now from Softpedia.
