Quite a few features have been added to the app

Calibre, an application that can be used as an eBook reader, converter, and editor, among other numerous features, has been updated once more and a few new interesting features have been added.

The previous two or three updates for the application have aimed more towards fixing bugs and correcting other problems, but the developer has now made some important modifications to Calibre. These are not groundbreaking new features and many users won't even know that they are there, unless pointed out, but that doesn't mean they should be ignored.

Calibre is a very complex application and it has dozens of features, if we don't include the ones provided by the plugins. It's easy to see why there are so many changes made all the time and why the developer needs to have a new release every week. He still doesn't have a proper binary installer or a repository set up, but that's a discussion for another time.

What's new in Calibre 2.19

The latest version of the application now allows users to dock the quickview window to the main window, it's now possible to set both the title and the author of a book even if it's empty, an option to turn off auto-completion of closing tags has been implemented, users can now set descriptions for custom columns, the Lev e-book reader is now working properly on Linux, the DOCX input has been refined, and some of the news sources have been updated.

This is a small update, and as usual, you will need to download the new version with the provided script. If you want to compile Calibre, you can also get the source code for the application from Softpedia. We also have a review lined up, if you want to see what else Calibre is capable of, but please keep in mind that a few others versions have been released since then.
