The fresh update for Calibre has been released today and is available for both the desktop version, as well as for the portable one. It includes a short list of improvements and several bug fixes.

The list informs of support for Woxter Scriba, a Spanish ebook reader, and extended functionality for editing metadata in bulk. Starting this version, the application permits setting the comments for selected books and cloning of the first selected entry to subsequent selections.

As far as repairs are concerned, the developer announced improvements of the code for ejecting devices on Windows; as such, incomplete ejection with Nook gadgets should be eliminated now.

Some problems with DOCX items have also been solved; tabs in DOCX files are converted into non-breaking spaces in the output result. Also, Calibre 1.5 can handle DOCX data with missing referenced style.
