Version 0.8.44 of the e-book reader and management software Calibre, has been announced today, March 23rd, with some important new features and fixes.
Calibre 0.8.44 introduces a new fullscreen mode, with no toolbars and the ability to set the width of the column of text via Preferences in the ebook viewer.
Highlights of Calibre 0.8.44:
• The application now has a popup message telling users if books were auto merged by the copy to library process; • UNIX driver for Ectaco JetBook color was added; • A link to the 'Adding Books Preferences' in the drop down menu of the Add Books button for easier access and more prominence was added; • Various store plugins that deal with website changes such as Amazon Europe, Waterstones, Foyles, B&N, Kobo, Woblink and Empik, were updated; • Calibre now supports different HTTP and HTTPS proxies.
