Version 0.8.38 of the e-book reader and management software Calibre, has been announced, bringing new functionality to the import book function.

Calibre 0.8.38 brings a much needed feature that is present in a lot of other applications who deal with libraries. Calibre can now watch a folder and instantly add any files placed there. The folder can be determined from Preferences -> Adding Books -> Automatic Adding.

There are also new drivers for EZReader T730 and Pint-of-View PlayTab Pro and a conversion modification. When automatically inserting page breaks, do not put a page break before a <h1> or <h2> tag if it is immediately preceded by another <h1> or <h2> tag.

A series of bug fixes pertaining to metadata plugboards, a regression from 0.8.34, heuristic processing, and a lot other have made their way into the new version.

A complete changelog can be fond in the official announcement.
