Version 0.8.38 of Calibre is out and it introduces a new major feature, which allows the app to automatically import books from a user-defined folder. All you have to do is specify a location and Calibre will monitor it, adding any new files as books.

Additional new stuff available in this release touches on the conversion process, which has been improved to avoid placing a page break before a <h1> or <h2> tag if it is immediately preceded by another <h1> or <h2> tag. On the same note, there are new drivers for EZReader T730 and Pint-of-View PlayTab Pro devices.

As far as fixes go, Calibre 0.8.38 squashed a bug that hid the device entry in the menu bar, despite adding it. Also, trying to locate a book in a ZIP archive should no longer fail if additional ZIP files are present.
