The e-book reader and management software Calibre has been updated to 0.8.30, and this time there are a LOT of changes.

Kovid Goyal, the developer of Calibre, announced that version 0.8.30 is now available for download. Usually, updates for Calibre are small in size, but 0.8.30 is rather hefty.

The main features and changes introduced in Calibre 0.8.30 are as follows: two new book sources (amazon.es and amazon.it), the “Use” saved conversion settings checkbox for bulk conversion is now disabled, a command-line switch to specify the position at which the file should be opened has been introduced, and the Calibre source code now comes in a “xz” archive to save 40% in size.

There are also a number of bugfixes for the conversion function, bulk output and MOBI output, a small number of improved news sources, and many others. A complete list of changes can be found here.

Download Calibre 0.8.30 right now from Softpedia.
