The e-book reader and management software Calibre has been updated again, only a week later after the previous version.

Kovid Goyal, the developer of Calibre, announced that version 0.8.29 is now available. As usual, there are a lot of fixes, some important ones and some that apply to only a small number of users.

Among the most interesting updates we can find a fix for searching author names that have  accented letters (searching for Nino will now match Niño), drivers for Blackberry Playbook, Motorola Electrify and Samsung Galaxy GIO S5660, reduced memory consumption when sending very large files, and fixed title sort in bulk metadata edit not using language information.

There are of course a number of small fixes for the news section: Vanity Fair by Barty, Daily Writing Tips by NotTaken, and Cosmopolitan UK by Dave Asbury, just to name a few.
