Cal's win against USC on Sunday night is accompanied by controversy, as coach Mike Montgomery has used an aggressive tactic to get his star player fired up.

Before a timeout in the second half of the game, Cal was losing ground. You can watch in the video posted above as Montgomery confronts guard Allen Crabbe, shouting and pushing him with both hands.

As what looks like a harsh exchange of words begins, junior forward Richard Solomon grabs the player by his collar and guard Justin Cobbs steps in to calm him down.

He is escorted to the tunnel and rejoins the game shortly after. According to USA Today, Crabbe led Cal to a victory by scoring 14 of his 23 points during the second part of the game. Cal won by 76 to 68, their fifth victory in the last six games.
