14 DAY TRIAL // Caitlyn Jenner, formerly known as Bruce Jenner, has taken the world over by storm this week, starting with her Vanity Fair cover, which was the first time she was seen in public and on such a huge platform. She’s also on Twitter and is getting her own docuseries, and will be honored at the ESPYS awards.
Caitlyn might have taken over 5 decades to come out to the world as herself, but now that she’s here, she’s here to stay. She is in talks to follow up her astounding debut with a partnership with MAC, Hollywood Life reports.
New, highly lucrative endorsement deal is in the works
The celebrity e-zine says that Caitlyn is in talks to take over from the likes of Fergie, Lady Gaga, Rihanna, Nicki Minaj and Christina Aguilera as the face of MAC’s Viva Glam campaign for 2016.
Nothing is set in stone right now, but if things go as planned, an announcement should come any day now.
“The current spokesperson is Miley Cyrus,” says a spy. “It could be a family affair as Kendall is signed with Estee Lauder and Estee Lauder of course owns MAC. Caitlyn would be the perfect spokesperson because Viva Glam is about working with and celebrating celebrities that are bold, influential and not afraid to speak their truth.”
Caitlyn, as she presented herself in the Vanity Fair interview and in the first teaser for her upcoming E! docuseries, is all those things. She’s also incredibly popular, shattering President Barack Obama’s Twitter record for most users in a small number of hours, and has support from both celebrities and regular folks.
In other words, Caitlyn is huge right now, and signing her to be the face of a cosmetics giant will only make her bigger.
Caitlyn is worth more than Bruce
That Caitlyn Jenner is huge is also confirmed by TMZ, which says that she is worth more than Bruce was pre-transition.
Especially in recent years, Bruce had lost some of his appeal to the public because of the transition rumors and because he’d removed himself somewhat from the spotlight. He was still an icon for his sport achievements, but his worth as a celebrity wasn’t much.
Caitlyn isn’t like that, at least not right now, when she’s managed to woo the world with her honesty, her beauty and her willingness to share everything with the people at home.
For instance, Bruce could pull about $25,000 (€22,118) for one single appearance on the motivation circuit, but Caitlyn will probably be able to command 4 times that amount, also for one appearance.
What makes Caitlyn more valuable to companies that might want to have her endorsing their products is her popularity and her following online. Bruce could never get even close to this.
