Fancy look but not too many advanced features

A cell phone with "Playboy" in its name cannot go unnoticed, and the reason for this is more than obvious. Alcatel managed to get a big share of attention from CTIA Wireless 2008 visitors' with its new Playboy branded handset, which was showcased, naturally, by Playboy girls (I'm not sure about their naturalness, especially when it comes to sizes, but that's another story).

Alcatel brought several other phones at CTIA Wireless, besides the Palyboy one, but those didn't come with the presentation the Playboy one benefited from. IntoMobile got the chance to visit Alcatel's booth, to check out the handset and the girls who walked around with it, smiling and... and just smiling.

Alcatel Playboy is actually a remake of the OT-V770, a recently announced handset that looks pretty good in its original version. But with the Playboy branding, it will surely raise more interest from consumers.

The Playboy handset measures only 10 millimeters in thickness, weighs 75 grams and, besides the fancy overall look, it has the Playboy bunny on its navigation key, the Playboy logo on the back case, as well as some Playboy content, including wallpapers and such other stuff (but don't think about any dirty content).

When it comes to features, Alcatel Playboy is not among the most advanced handsets around (but that's not its purpose anyway). The phone packs a 176 x 220 pixels TFT display with 262K colors, Music player, Bluetooth 2.0, WAP 2.0 browser, 1.3 Megapixel camera with video and only 10MB of internal memory, but this can be expanded up to 2GB with a microSD card.

There are no details about when and where the Alcatel Playboy phone will be available, nor about its price. However, we know that it will come in three color versions, silver, pink and gold - pretty Playboy-ish, right?
