CRAM claimed to be the first company to invent a portable home entertainment system, one that already has a comprehensive product page.

All CRAM said in the press release was that the Venu is the first of its kind, but what the thing can or cannot do is explained at length here.

The company made a point of mentioning that the gadget weighs under 2 lbs (less than 1 kilogram) while holding a hard disk drive on the inside.

That way, hundreds of films and thousands of songs can be taken along wherever users may wish.

Fitting with its status as a sort of media player, the consumer electronics device supports Full HD (1080p) video, 3D and a cartridge where the HDD goes.

Finally, Venu comes with a subscription-based media content service ($20/16 Euro a month).

Unfortunately, a clear idea of what venu is and isn't won't be possible to consolidate until the Consumer Electronic Show (CES 2012, January 10-13).
