Owners of Android-based smartphones and tablet PCs can now take advantage of a new popular application designed for their devices, namely CPU-Z.

The Android flavor of the CPU identification tool for PC/Windows was made available for download for free on Android, providing users with the possibility to receive information about the device.

The application will offer details such as SoC (System On Chip) name, architecture, clock speed for each core, device brand and model, screen resolution, RAM, storage, Battery level info, along with status and temperature, and details on sensors.

Available for all devices running under Android 3.0 and above, the application is currently in a beta state, which means that users might be hit by various issues. If that happens, the app’s developers encourage them to report the problem, so that it could be fixes.
