CPUID released a new minor version for CPU-Z, their tool for detecting the hardware available on the system.

Version 1.63 of the product does not include a rich set of modifications but improves overall functionality by adding support for new hardware components. On this note, the developer included support for Intel Pentium and Celeron "Ivy Bridge" CPUs and for AMD Athlon X4 750K.

On the change log for the new CPU-Z, support for FMA3 and 4 instructions sets are also listed.

However, one of the most significant modifications available in this revision is support for systems with more than 64 CPUs. At the moment, both Windows 7 and 8 (64-bit) are capable to function with such architecture, although the latter supports up to 256 logical processors.

The desktop version for CPU-Z can be downloaded from this page; the application is also available as a portable download.
