Version 1.7.0 improves COWON's dashcam night recording quality

Less than a month ago, COWON released version 1.6.0 of AW1's firmware. Now, the Korean manufacturer launched update number 1.7.0 with a new set of additions and improvements.

To begin with, the night recording quality has been improved with this version as well as the speed indicator for places where the GPS signal is low or absent.

Additional card formatting methods and new settings of “Usage of shutdown voltage while driving” are now available.

To update, take out the memory card from the camera and connect it to a PC via a memory card reader. Download and unzip the firmware update file, then copy it to the root folder of the card.

Safety remove the external storage device and plug the microSD to your unplugged AW1 camera. Start the ignition first and then connect the power jack. The update will start automatically and, when it completes, it will reboot with Voice Guide, “Starting driving recording."
