Since 1988, reality series “COPS” has been a Saturday night staple on Fox but, as of this fall, the show will move over to Spike and to Stockton, Fox40 confirms.

Having redefined the concept of longevity in an industry where a show celebrating a couple of seasons is considered a major hit, “COPS” continues to be a huge draw with audiences.

As of this fall though, it will simply move to another home / network.

Fox40 reports that “COPS” has also moved to Stockton, where the first few weeks have already been shot.

“They get to go out and see the hard work our officers are doing everyday and our officers are able to display their talent on a national stage,” Officer Joe Silva says after the first rounds of taping.

“Having cops here, it is nationally and internationally watched so we can recruit basically anywhere in the United States,” he adds.
