"Titans", a CNBC show that profiles remarkable people who made careers turning the “unthinkable” into reality, and companies that grew from humble roots to worldwide recognition, is kicking off tonight with a special on Steve Jobs.

Described as “Irrepressible, irascible, and iconic, Steve Jobs has reigned as the undisputed king of Silicon Valley for the better part of three decades,” reads the CEO’s profile.

Steve Jobs has also been on medical leave of absence for the better part of this year.

CNBC continues to profile Jobs: “From his parents’ California garage he launched the personal computer revolution and built Apple into the most envied, and valuable, technology company in the world.”

“From the Macintosh and the iPod, to iTunes and the iPhone, Jobs has personally presided over the creation of dozens of transformational devices, battling hostile corporate boards, cutthroat competitors, and serious illness while securing his legacy as one of the few who dared to ‘Think Different’,” the network concludes.

The Steve Jobs feature will have several segments, of which the network highlights:

The Apple Revolution - which describes how the man became a leader in the personal computer revolution with the Apple Computer;

The Executive - which looks at Jobs’ confrontational personality as well as “his ruthless reputation inside the walls of Apple.”

iPod - Jobs’ now-famous unveiling of “a pocket-sized digital music powerhouse” which allowed Apple to break new ground in a world then filled with competition.

The show will also be featuring former Apple CEO John Sculley who will be talking about the invention of the Macintosh computer, Author Douglas Atkin who will explain the brilliance of Apple’s retail stores, Hilary Rosen on how Jobs launched the iTunes music store, and a part detailing the huge impact Apple’s iPhone had on the entire electronics industry.
