When creating a gaming mouse, companies have to make sure they make it versatile, comfortable, responsive and aesthetically pleasing, and CM Storm claims to have achieved all this with the Spawn.

Even with CES 2011 over and done with, there seems to be no stopping the IT companies that want to keep releasing newer and better products.

CM Storm, most recently, issued a press release in which it describes the Spawn, a gaming mouse meant for long gaming sessions.

At first glance, one will notice not only the claw-grip design of the mouse, but also the anti-slip rubber side grips and how it is made to be lightweight.

“As experts in their craft, CM Storm’s engineers sought to deliver a comfortable, precise, and durable mouse with an exquisitely simple, yet effective, button layout,” says the official announcement.

There are seven fully programmable buttons (functions stored in the Sentinel-X TM 32 KB microprocessor), even a button that can adjust the 3,500 dpi laser on-the-fly, meaning that gamers can always have the exact sensitivity each game demands.

Specifically, 800 dpi, 1,800 dpi and 3,500 dpi presets exist, while the max speed of the mouse is 60 IPS (inches per second).

The aforementioned processor “is included for storing button assignments, advanced macros and other mouse customizations which allows easy setup and quick installation on any computer.”

A mention is also made of the image processing, that being of 6,400 FPS (frames per second) and of 5.8 megapixels per second.

Other specifications include an USB transfer rate (polling rate) of 1,000 Hz, ultra swift teflon feet, a cable length of 2 meters, a gold-plated USB connector and a max acceleration of 20G.

“With these enhanced features and an aggressive design, the Spawn has been forged to make you the victor that collects the spoils of war,” says the press release.

Unfortunately, no sort of information was given on pricing and availability.
