CM Storm is no stranger to high-end gaming keyboards with more than the usual share of buttons, but it strove to do without auxiliary additions this time.

That is why the CM Storm Gaming Trigger-Z only has five unusual buttons: the macro keys on the left, right beside the Caps Lock, Left Shift and Left TAB.

Don't be fooled by the number though. It's possible to configure up to 75 macros, and use those keys for switching between five different profiles that those macros are tied into.

It helps when moving from one game to another and you want a quick setups of key shortcuts.

Speaking of programmable keys, there are 64 KB of onboard memory to store them all (firmware can be updated from the CM Storm Gaming site).

Trigger-Z also has integrated multimedia keys (can switch from them to Function F1-F12). Disabling the Windows Key can be done too.

As for the physical aspects, the newcomer has a detachable, wide wrist rest, 14K gold plated ultra low latency USB connectors, and a high-grade braided cable. Buyers will have to choose between high quality Cherry MX Brown, Red, and Blue switches. The price is not known for now.
