Standoutz introduces a versatile dock with inductive charging and pivoting stand for the upcoming Apple Watch

Apple’s first device to support inductive charging, the Apple Watch is set to debut in early 2015 in the US and later on across the rest of the world. You wouldn’t think it needs accessories, but Standoutz begs to differ.

Unveiling “the first great Apple Watch accessory” at CES 2015, the company has plans to sell a dock equipped with wireless charging technology, extra USB ports for charging two other devices (i.e. iPhone and iPad), and a pivoting stand that allows the user to adjust his / her view of the watch as it sits on the dock.

No price tag yet

“We designed Bandstand from the ground up to make the experience of using and charging Apple Watch better. The inductive charger is built into the stand, so charging is as simple as taking off the watch and dropping it onto the stand,” says the maker.

It has an LED light so that you can locate it in the dark, and the brightness of the light is adjustable. Slated to roll out around the same time Apple plans to release the watch, Bandstand doesn’t seem to have a price assigned to it.

Late November shipping

Standoutz plans to unveil this accessory at CES, but according to a notice on the company’s web site, it appears that mass production will not begin until later in the year. In fact, the Standoutz site says the item is currently out of stock, and for those who want to be put on a waiting list, the shipping estimate is “late November.”

This is most likely a precautionary measure for when the firm starts to take orders. In all fairness, Standoutz needs to fully assess the potential of its new product before investing in the mass production of these devices.
