It can go from curved to flat and vice versa on command

Samsung may have released the first flexible TV, but LG is now making history at the 2015 Consumer Electronics Show with the first flexible OLED TV, the 77-inch EG9900.

There have been some flexible OLED panels in the past, but most of them were small, used in phones, or just prototypes.

Others that could bend were only used in curved displays, not ones that can bend and unbend whenever you feel like it. Unless I missed one over the past few years. Everything is possible.

In any case, the new LG bendable TV has a diagonal of 77 inches, which makes it large enough to take up half of a small room on its own.

Fortunately, only the rich will afford it, so small rooms probably won't be an issue with them.

The EG9900 also comes loaded with the WebOS+ operating system, which was a smartphone OS once upon a time, but after a strange turn of events during which it went from dead OS to printer software and then death again, it became open-source (to a point) and, eventually, got picked up by LG for its Smart TVs.

Harman Kardon speakers are also included, for premium sound, and an anti-reflective screen coating will make sure the view is clear whether or not the TV happens to be curved at any point. The bending is achieved by a remote-controlled motorized bezel by the way.

Sadly, you won't be able to order the LG 77-inch EG9900 WebOS UltraHD OLED TV until the second half of 2015. Expect it to be priced at the same level as a luxury car though.
