14 DAY TRIAL // Also present at CES 2015 in Las Vegas, Acer came prepared with a few new products. The Taiwanese company has just pulled the veil off the Liquid Z410 smartphone, a handset which will be sold at a wallet-friendly price.
What constitutes the most important selling point of the Liquid Z410 smartphone is the fact that it comes equipped with 4G LTE (Cat.4). On top of that, it bundles a 64-bit quad-core processor, although we’re not being told which kind exactly.
The Acer Liquid Z410 has low-range specs
The Liquid Z410 arrives with a 4.5-inch display with 960 x 540 pixel resolution and 245ppi. The smartphone also has a 5MP camera living on the back and 2MP shooter up front with an 80-degree wide-angle lens.
The budget smartphone also boasts a front-facing speaker powered by DTS Studio Sound. We’re told the Liquid Z410 takes advantage of Android 4.4 KitKat and is powered by a battery of unspecified capacity that, according to the producing company, should offer up to 5.5 hours of talk time and 400 hours of standby time.
One thing Acer doesn't mention is the amount of RAM memory we’re going to see onboard.
The Acer Liquid Z410 has some unique features
Moving along, the handset includes a new button called the AcerRAPID. It lives exactly under the camera and is highlighted by a textile pattern.
This particular key sits there in order to provide a way to access a set of customizable actions by virtue of a simple touch.
Another new addition is the Acer QuickTouch feature which allows users to control their handset with one-finger gestures. For example, drawing a “Z” on the display will prompt the music player to open. A “C” will open the camera, while the “V” will enable dialer functions.
The Acer Liquid Z410 will become available in Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) starting this February for the price of €129 / $154.
