As expected, Samsung pulled the veil off its Galaxy TabPRO 8.4, in an attempt to make a statement on a market that has really taken off as of late, the 8-inch one.

We have seen the specifications for the tablet leak hours before Sammy managed to make the official announcement, and at the press event everything was confirmed.

The 8.4-incher will come equipped with WUXGA resolution (translated into 2560 x 1600 pixels) with an amazing 359 ppi, which makes this one of the densest tablets in existence.

Its measures 128.5 x 219 x 7.2 mm / 5.05 x 8.6 x 0.2 inches and weighs just 331 g / 0.7 lbs (Wi-Fi) and 336 / 0.74 lbs (4G LTE).

Unlike the other Galaxy TabPRO models, both variants of the 8.4-incher are powered by a Snapdragon 800, coupled with 2GB of RAM and backed up by either 16GB or 32GB of internal storage.

Apart from that, there are two cameras on board (8MP on the back and 2MP in front) and micro-SDXC expansion. The device runs Android 4.4.2 KitKat and features the re-designed TouchWiz interface.

Sammy doesn't say how much the tablet is supposed to last, but the 4,800 mAh should provide a decent life-span.
