Lots of new camera models have been announced at this year's International CES show in Las Vegas, and the trend is clearly Wi-Fi and NFC-enabled superzoom cameras.

Polaroid is not as popular as bigger camera and optics manufacturers like Canon, Nikon, or Sony, but this year the company has decided to announce a new line of bridge cameras that come with up to 50x optical zoom capabilities.

There are 5 new models in total, ranging from a 50x zoom iE5036W to a 15x optical zoom model that doesn't have a name at the moment. Let’s take a closer look at these cameras to see what they pack under the hood.

The iE5036W and iE4038W are the top of the new line, with a 50x and 40x optical zoom, respectively. Both cameras come with an 18MP image sensor, 3-inch LCD display, and are capable of capturing 1080p Full HD video footage.

On the other hand, the 35x Ixx353W comes with a larger 20MP image sensor, the same high-resolution 3-inch LCD display as well as 1080p Full HD video capturing capabilities.

While the 30x iE3035W model features an 18MP sensor as well as 1080p Full HD video recording and 3-inch LCD screen, the 15x Polaroid bridge camera will be the cheapest of them all and comes with the same sensor as the iE3035W, but it can only capture 720p HD video footage.

All the aforementioned Polaroid cameras come with built-in Wi-Fi, allowing you to instantly share your photos and videos on any compatible smartphone or tablet.

That being said, it seems that Polaroid aims to bring superzoom capabilities at an affordable price. The new line of Polaroid bridge cameras will hit store shelves in spring this year, at a price ranging from $299 / €220 for the 50x iE5036W to $149 / €110 for the 30x iE3035W model.
