Panasonic is yet to announce its most anticipated digital camera, the GH 4K, capable of capturing 4K video footage at 30 frames per second.

Moreover, a new Panasonic GF model with a stylish curved design has also been spotted in a recent patent but, for the moment, no other information is available regarding this camera.

What we have seen from Panasonic at this year's CES show, in terms of digital cameras and lenses, is a new wearable 4K camera, two new superzoom cameras (ZS35 and ZS40), as well as the official announcement of Panasonic's latest premium lens, the Leica DG Nocticron 42.5mm f/1.2 APSH.

In a recent press release, the company also announced a new affordable superzoom digital camera called LUMIX DMC-LZ40. The new model comes with a 20MP CCD sensor and a 42x optical zoom 22-924mm (35mm equivalent) f/3.0-6.5 lens.

It also features an optical image stabilizer that compensates camera shake in order to deliver clear, sharp images in any shooting conditions. Moreover, the new iA (Intelligent Auto) mode allows users to capture beautiful images without having to worry about aperture, shutter speed, or ISO settings.

The Panasonic Lumix LZ40 is also capable of capturing 720p HD video footage at 30 frames per second, while using Creative Control and Creative Retouch options you will be able to choose from 15 filter effects to enhance your still and video footage.

In addition to that, the camera features a 3-inch 460k-dot LCD display and comes with a 1250mAh Li-ion battery that allows you to shoot up to 320 photos with a full charge.

The Panasonic Lumix LZ40 is now available for pre-order at the official Panasonic online store at a price of $249.95 / €183. Availability is yet to be announced, but the camera will probably hit market shelves in a couple of months.
