Panasonic has already announced a few new digital cameras at this year's CES in Las Vegas. Among the newly released models we can find the ZS35 (TZ55), ZS40 (TZ60), LZ40 as well as a wearable digital camera capable of capturing 4K video footage.

Besides that, Panasonic fans are still waiting for an official announcement of the GH 4K digital camera, which currently has a mockup displayed at the company's booth.

For low-end consumers, Panasonic has also prepared a new camera model, the Lumix SZ8, which is a step down from the more popular ZS (TZ) superzoom camera series.

The new Panasonic SZ8 comes with a 16MP CCD sensor and a 12x optical zoom 24-288mm (35mm equivalent) lens that can be extended to 24x using the Intelligent Zoom function.

In addition to that, the camera is capable of capturing 720p HD video footage and features a 3-inch 460k-dot LCD display, optical image stabilizer, and Intelligent Auto shooting mode.

Furthermore, the camera also comes with built-in Wi-Fi support that allows you to instantly connect and share your photos and videos on your smartphone or tablet. The Panasonic Lumix DMC-SZ8 is now available for pre-order at the official Panasonic Online Store for $169.99 / €125. Availability of this new model is yet to be announced.
