All Firefox OS smartphones available on the market are meant to be budget-friendly. One of the first to be released, the ZTE Open, is about to get some better-featured successors.

Mozilla has just announced plans to enter the high-end smartphone market with two new devices that have yet to be officially launched.

However, Mozilla has confirmed that at least two handsets manufactured by ZTE, the Open C and Open II will be available for purchase in 2014 and will feature high-end specs.

Unfortunately, aside from the fact that ZTE Open C and Open II will pack dual-core processors and other high-end features, there are no details on the specs sheet.

“In 2014, ZTE will develop a new Firefox OS line to give their users more choice. New Firefox OS phones from ZTE will include higher-end and dual core options like the Open C and Open II,” said Mozilla's Jay Sullivan in a blog post.
