It's only going to be available in Australia for a while though

The Consumer Electronics Show is playing host to many ultra high-definition televisions and monitors, and Kogan is right in the middle of things with a 55-inch model.

Despite being one of the cheapest 4K TVs launched so far, the 55-inch 4K TV at Kogan's booth is pretty well rounded, complete with smart features including the Android 4.2.2 operating system with Google Play access.

There's a dual-core 1.2 GHz Cortex A9 CPU running everything, aided by a Mali 400 GPU.

Add to that 4 GB for saving the downloaded apps and you can use that resolution of 3840 x 2160 pixels to both watch TV and use various small entertainment programs, or access the net via the built-in Wi-Fi or Ethernet.

Speaking of which, USB 2.0, USB 3.0 and microSD slot are present too (one of each).

No clue whether it will make it to the US or Europe, but in Australia it'll cost $999 AUD / $888 / €653.
