Earlier today, Nikon announced that it was working on a new flagship camera called D4S, which comes with a few important improvements over its predecessor, the D4.

The company also announced that the camera would be showcased at its booth at the International CES show in Las Vegas starting today, January 7, through January 10. Until now, the Nippon manufacturer has only revealed a teaser image, but no actual photos with the new D4S model have been released.

Not many details are available about the camera's specs, but Nikon announced that it would feature a new image-processing engine and more advanced focusing capabilities than its predecessor.

To quench your curiosity, Engadget China has published quite a few pictures with Nikon's new D4S HD-SLR, which confirms that it looks the same as the current D4 model.
