SteelSeries has officially launched what it calls “the world’s fastest gaming keyboards”: both the Apex and the Apex [RAW] feature several improvements to make gaming a totally unique experience.

The keyboards feature raised macro-keys on the top and on the left side, two small tactile bumps on the W key for easier control of the WASD combo, an enlarged space bar, a dedicated key to adjust brightness and disable the Windows button and two swappable feet.

The Apex Keyboard comes with a price tag of $99.99 (€75) and features 8 levels of illumination intensity, the ability to configure every key and independent media and volume keys.

The Apex [RAW] version, on the other hand, comes with a total of 250 programmable keys and a price tag of only $69.99 (€53). Illumination with 8 levels of intensity is also available.

Users are allowed to set up profiles and save their settings, import and export macros, and even record statistics via a keyboard heat map in order to analyze game sessions.

Both keyboards will go on sale in the second quarter of 2013, the company announced at CES.
