Rumors on the upcoming release of the Galaxy Note 10.1 at Verizon Wireless surfaced a few weeks ago, but Samsung did not confirm it until today.

During Samsung's press event at Consumer Electronics Show 2013 (CES), the South Korean company announced that a 4G LTE Galaxy Note 10.1 would hit shelves at Verizon Wireless.

Unfortunately, the handset maker did not offer any details on the slate's exact release date and pricing options, but we expect that the Big Red will come forward with an official announcement in the next few days.

Aside from the usual specs included in the Galaxy Note 10.1, the tablet has been confirmed to ship with Android 4.1 Jelly Bean operating system out of the box, alongside lots of productivity applications. Stay tuned for more updates on the matter.
