VIZIO has a variety of things on display at CES 2012, monitors and TVs taking up much of its exhibition.

It appears that the company has even done something a bit unusual, namely build a number of LCD HDTV sets with the 21:9 aspect ratio.

That's the same ratio that cinema screens have.

VIZIO aptly named the product series CinemWide and intends to ship three: 50 inches (diagonal), 58 inches and 71 inches.

All of them have “TruLED” backlighting and a dynamic contrast ratio of 1,000,000:1.

Unfortunately, even though VIZIO appears to have already made up its mind as to whom its panels will be aimed at, it said nothing in regards to when and where they will start shipping.

The same goes for the prices. While they will obviously not be small, they have been kept under wraps.
