Only a few inventions could top the 'Spnkix' green wearable technology revealed during the 2012 Consumer Electronics Show.

The company has recently unveiled its awesome battery-powered motorized skates, transforming any pair of old, boring shoes, into a gadget than can take you virtually anywhere without using a single drop of fuel or releasing harmful emissions.

Spnkix prototype relies on a nylon frame that can strap on to any pair of sneakers, to help users arrive at their destinations. It might not be as fast as a Ferrari ride, but the innovative gadget can still reach a top speed of 10 miles per hour.

Also, the prototype, priced at $649 (€508), comes equipped with a durable lithium battery that can be recharged in almost two hours and a wireless remote control. Once fully charged, the battery can guarantee that you will roll on the streets for up to three miles on a single charge.

Spnkix seems reliable enough to help you pick up groceries without having to spend money on cabs. It seems to be the perfect gadget for outdoor enthusiasts, who prefer low-cost, eco-friendly means of transportation.
