Samsung is taking great care of its customers and tries to match the competition’s offers as quickly as possible. This time the Korean handset manufacturer is concerned about the enterprise aspect of its devices.

Although the company’s presence at the International Consumer Electronics Show is pretty consistent mainly due to its newly announced devices, it looks like Samsung is also preoccupied by the software that comes with these new devices.

In this regard, the handset maker has just announced that Samsung Galaxy Note and Galaxy Tab 7.7 will be the first “Samsung Approved for Enterprise” (SAFE) devices directly retailed to consumers.

“Samsung Approved for Enterprise” is a set of security features and tools aimed at customers who favor enterprise-friendly capabilities over the complex ones.

This package includes several apps such as Mobile Device Management, On-Device Encryption, Virtual Private Network and Corporate Email/Calendar/Contacts.

SAFE was launched in October 2011 and was targeted at enterprise customers, but the company recognized the consumers’ needs for devices that meet both personal and business mobile demands.

This is the main reason why Samsung decided to make Galaxy Note and Galaxy Tab 7.7 the first SAFE-enabled devices provided directly to consumers.

Recently launched in the United States, both Samsung Galaxy Note and Galaxy Tab 7.7 are expected to receive an Ice Cream Sandwich upgrade in the following months.

Releasing the SAFE-certified Galaxy Note and Galaxy Tab 7.7 is a win-win situation for U.S. businesses and their employees. More and more employees are demanding greater choice in the mobile devices they carry for both work and personal use. Both the Galaxy Note and the Galaxy Tab 7.7 live up to these standards and provide a ‘SAFE Landing’ for the large number of users moving away from competitive platforms,” said Tim Wagner, vice president and general manager of B2B Sales for Samsung Mobile.
