14 DAY TRIAL // AT&T announced no less than six LTE-enabled devices at the International Consumer Electronics Show, in Las Vegas. The carrier plans to launch five LTE smartphones and an LTE tablet only in Q1 2012.
The highly-acclaimed Samsung Galaxy Note has finally made its way to AT&T shelves, along with the Galaxy S II Skyrocket HD, Sony Xperia ion and Pantech Element slate.
In addition, AT&T announced the upcoming availability of two less-featured LTE smartphones, the Samsung Exhilarate and Pantech Burst.
According to the carrier, the Burst will be available for purchase beginning January 22, along with the Pantech slate, for under $50 with a new two-year agreement.
However, for a limited time, customers who purchase the Pantech Burst and Element together will only have to pay $249.99 for the tablet and grab the smartphone at no cost. Obviously, this deal requires customers to commit to a long-term contract.
Samsung Exhilarate will also be available for under $50 with a new two-year agreement, but AT&T mentioned that the smartphone was expected to arrive “in the coming weeks.”
The Exhilarate is one of the few eco-friendly LTE smartphones available in the market and is built from 80% recycled post-consumer materials.
Furthermore, the smartphone comes with multiple eco modes and apps, such as Eco calendar and calculator. Samsung also states that the Exhilarate was certified as Platinum by UL Environment.
The only specs revealed by AT&T are the 4.0-inch Super AMOLED capacitive touchscreen display and the ability to access AT&T U-Verse Live TV.
Pantech Burst comes with a 4.0-inch Super AMOLED capacitive touchscreen as well, along with a 5-megapixel rear camera with LED flash and HD (720p) video recording. There’s also a VGA front-facing camera for video calls.
True to its name, Pantech Burst is equipped with a powerful 1.2 GHz dual core processor and runs Android 2.3.5 Gingerbread operating system.
