Samsung is pulling out all the guns at this year's Consumer Electronics Show, releasing even a series of cameras with wireless Internet connection.

It has been some time since wireless Internet support became common on smartphones.

Cameras didn't hurry to integrate the same functionality, but time passed and they are finally ready to make this step.

Samsung is one of the companies most determined to end this age of web-deprived photo shooting and video recording devices.

With the Consumer Electronics Show finally underway, it launched the WB850F, WB150F, and ST200F cameras, among other things (like Super OLED 55-inch TVs).

All three of them feature the SMART Wi-Fi technology, which eliminates the need for cables.

Thus, not only can a PC enact the Automated Backup function wirelessly, but also owners can use integrated free storage space via Samsung’s AllShare Play and Microsoft Sky Drive content sharing services.

Nevertheless, the biggest jump in versatility comes from the cameras' ability to e-mail photos or share them on social networks form any Wi-Fi hotspot.

“Taking photographs and sharing them with friends and family is one of the most enjoyable aspects of travelling,” said Mr. Myoung Sup Han, senior vice president and head of the digital imaging business at Samsung Electronics.

“It’s about more than simply capturing memories – it’s an integral part of the experience itself. Listening to our customers, we discovered that being able to conserve memory and share images instantly was what was missing from the high-quality cameras that they trust. With this in mind, we added ground-breaking Wi-Fi functions to our travel zoom series, building on the brilliant image quality that high-quality sensors and zoom lenses provide with the ability to store and share like never before.”

Spec-wise, WB850F has 21x optical zoom / 16.2 megapixel sensor, WB150F features 18x zoom / 14.2 MP sensor and ST200F has 10x zoom / 12 MP sensor. No pricing or availability details yet.
