Asus’ original Transformer, the TF101, won’t be the only tablet out there to get Android 4.0 by early February, since Archos also has similar plans for its G9-sereis slates.

The good news was revealed by an Archos rep, who talked with Android Police over at CES 2012, the website also taking a picture of a G9 running ICS 4.0.1.

The OTA update that users will receive will however contain Android 4.0.3, and it is scheduled to arrive by the first week of February 2012.

I can’t help it but congratulate Archos for this step, and wonder when will other major tablet manufacturers follow the example set by the French consumer electronics company and come out with an ICS update for their own devices. This includes you too Samsung.
