The 1920x1200 resolution Iconia Tab A700 isn’t the only tablet that Acer has unveiled at this year’s CES, as the outfit also prepared for the show the A510 slate powered by the same Nvidia Tegra 3 SoC and Android 4.0 operating system.

Just as its older brother, the A510 will also sport a 10.1-inch screen, this time with a more standard 1280x800 resolution, which hides beneath it Nvidia’s quad-core chipset.

Clocked at 1.3GHz, this SoC is able to handle not only high-definition video, but can also run graphics intensive games such as Skyrim or Shadowgun, making it an ideal option for mobile entertainment.

In the A510, the fast Nvidia chipset is paired together with 1GB of RAM memory and can sport either 16GB of 32GB of storage space, according to Phandroid.

On the sides of the tablet, Acer has placed pretty much all the ports and connectors that one might need, including a micro-USB port, a microSD slot, and a mini-HDMI output for connecting an external display or HDTV to the Iconia Tab A510.

Acer’s tablet is also equipped with dual cameras, one placed in the front and one in the back, but the resolution that these run at is not yet known.

On the connectivity side of things, we have both Bluetooth and 802.11 b/g/n WiFi, while going for the Iconia Tab A511 will also add 3G to the list.

As far as software is concerned, Acer’s tablet will arrive with Android 4.0 pre-installed, which is paired together with a couple of specific Acer technologies such as the company’s control ring interface and its Clear.fi wireless sharing app.

No info regarding pricing was provided by Acer, but going for the A510 instead of the high-end Iconia Tab A700 should save you quite a bit of money. Availability also wasn’t revealed.
