Taiwan computer vendor has no shame, copies Cupertino rivals’ products

At the CES 2012 kickoff, Acer has just unveiled its AcerCloud service, and it blatantly copies Apple’s iCloud right down to the graphics used to promote it.

Let alone the PicStream counterpart of Apple’s Photo Stream, or the documents-in-the-cloud feature, or Clear.fi. Let’s just say that some things only work if you do them the same as your competitors.

But to actually go and promote them exactly like Steve Jobs did in 2011? I mean, has Acer lost all sense of morality? They already had the Apple blogosphere up in arms when they rolled out the Aspire S3, which bore a striking similarity to the MacBook Air.

Now they’ve released the A5, which looks even more like Apple’s ultra-thin notebooks, but gets away with it because it comes in black. What's next, the aPhone?
