While NVIDIA's GeForce GT 540M was just reviewed as part of a laptop, it would seem that, as one would expect, the company intends to release its other mobile GPUs quite quickly, even as early as January.

Those keeping track of events on the IT market will know that, in early January of each year, an international trade show will take place.

Said expo is known as the Consumer Electronics Show and always has almost every company around the world participating in one way or another.

This once, not only is Intel expected to launch new CPUs and platforms, but many other types of products will debut, from many other outfits.

Tablets are, of course, one of the main subjects of discussion and scrutiny, but they are not at all the only noteworthy things one can expect to see.

In fact, NVIDIA will also have something to show for itself, or so says a recent report made by Expreview.

Apparently, among all the other things at its booth, NVIDIA will demonstrate the newest mobile graphics processing unit/discrete graphics card.

It will be dubbed GeForce GTX 560M and, since its desktop counterpart (GTX 560) will show up early next year as well, should be present at the expo.

It is powered by what is known as the GF114 graphics processing unit, a chip with 32 ROPs, 64 texture units, 384 CUDA cores and overall capabilities superior to the GTX 460.

What's more, the discrete 560M should even be able to match the GTX 480M, at least in some areas, while also featuring a significantly lower power consumption.

Of course, the GTX 560M will hardly be the only discrete card on NVIDIA's side, but it is unclear when the others, save for the aforementioned 540M, will show up.

At least those set to come out in the near future will be showcased sooner rather than later.
