Wowwee, the company behind Robosapien and other advanced robotics specimens, has unveiled its latest series of in-home bots, during CES 2008 event.

The first on the list is the Rovio robot, a revolution in home exploration and "telepresence", developed as a WiFi enabled robotic webcam that moves in all directions with ease and can be controlled remotely using any web accessible device including a cell phone, PC or video game console.

Moreover, using its incorporated camera that streams video and audio, users can view and interact with Rovio's environment, "surveying their home or office remotely through streaming video and audio transmitted via the Rovio robot." Being the first to feature the smart navigation and positioning system known as NorthStar, the Rovio robot can identify its precise location and navigate from place to place under its own control.

The next on the list is most of all a hot entry. Dubbed FemisSapien, this bot is said to be the "female of the species". As expected, the sophisticated humanoid bot targets female consumers and art enthusiasts, as it can perform distinctly fluid movements on music, features elegant gestures and receives sounds via an inboard microphone and controls other robots in the new lineup. She also features infra-red, audio, and tilt sensors that enable her to synchronize her dance moves to music. Just like a real robotic lady, the FemiSapien robot even speaks her own language of emotive sounds and responds to users' gestures, touch and sound.

The next generation of Robosapien robot, Tribot, is a a three-wheeled personality-packed companion, who's design might not be that impressive- its legs were replaced with uncomfortable wheels. The robot is equipped with different play modes such as joke telling, story sequences, games and more. Completed with facial expressions and animated eyebrows, the Tribot robot features an "omni-directional motion easily controlled by a tilt sensor remote control."

Wait until you get your hands on the new FlyTech Bladestar, a revolutionary indoor machine with unique sensor detection, designed for aeronautical duel. Made from ultra-light, flexible materials designed to be crash resistant, the toy features a built-in infra-red sensors allowing the indoor flyer to detect and avoid obstacles!

And finally, it's time to meet Mr. Personality, a cute robotic toy which features a full-color LCD screen that displays his personality with animated and synchronized facial features. Downloading the appropriate selection of content via USB connection should be enough to begin the fun.

Through the advanced infrared and audio sensors, the Mr. Personality robot can interact with his environment and "entertain his human companions with jokes, conversations, games and daily fortunes found in various play modes."

And that's not all! WowWee has announced more than 20 new items at CES 2008, so get ready to see more magic stuff popping out of their hat!
