It looks cool and keeps simple things simple

When it comes to your media corner of the room, the TV has a special place as it also has a special role in the contemporary social life. And since image alone in never enough, sound must be added; most TVs, including the latest ones come with pretty good sound (for a TV), no matter whether we're talking the newest plasma flat screens or the plain old CRT units. For some people though, the stock sound systems on TV sets are (and never will be) enough. Hence the need for an additional sound system to satisfy the acoustic demands for a neat home cinema array.[admark=1]

When speaking about multi-channel sound systems, we usually think as well about the endless runs of cable which plague the home d?cor and make everything harder (from living to dusting) unless they aren't hidden in walls or under the floor (with costly operations). Well, the Malaysian OEM manufacturer TFT Technology Group has come up with one more solution to this problem, the Symphany TR TV stand with built-in 2.1 sound system.

We're talking a massive and very neat-looking stand which can accommodate anything relating to imaging, from classic CRT units to plasma displays or rear-projection models, as long as their weight does not exceed 60kg. Besides its sober and minimalist look, the Symphany TR TV stand also comes with its own amplifier and speakers in a really wide 2.1 array meant to let you experience richer audio with your favorite movies, concert DVDs or TV shows.

The "tabletop" contains two pairs of speakers, one in each extremity; one fullrange driver and a dome tweeter, for a wide stereo field and a transparent acoustic imaging. Underneath the tabletop and fairly well hidden from plain sight, you'll discover the subwoofer, completing the 2.1 installation and adding increased soundstaging to your audio.

The Symphany TR TV stand will be launched at the CES 2008 and further data on performance specs and pricing will surely be available then.
